Admissions Info
A PROSPECTIVE STUDENT DOES NOT NEED TO BE A HIGH
SCHOOL GRADUATE OR HAVE A GED BEFORE APPLYING TO ETI.
In fact we encourage prospective students to schedule an interview early in their senior year. This enables students to apply to ETI and complete the enrollment process for postsecondary training before they graduate from High School.
Admission Procedures
Prospective students should call or write to schedule an interview and tour of the campus with an admission representative.
The representative conducting the interview is expected to collect the required application fee at the time of enrollment. When distance or other factors prohibit a personal interview, the admission's interview may be conducted by telephone and mailed applications will be accepted.
Before the start of class, it is the school's responsibility to determine if the applicants have the ability and qualifications to satisfactorily complete the course material. Any fees or deposits paid by the applicants who are denied admission will be refunded within 30 days.
Equal opportunity without discrimination to race, religion, national origin, color, sex, age, or physical or mental disability is afforded to all applicants.
Admission Requirements
Before a prospective student can be accepted, he or she must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 17 years of age by class start date.
- Certify that he/she has a High School Diploma or the High School Equivalence Certificate (G.E.D.). An applicant who cannot certify that he/she has a High School Diploma or G.E.D., must pass an "Ability to Benefit" examination approved by the United States Department of Education, given at the school by an independent test administrator.
- Be recommended by an admission representative. If, during the admissions interview, the admissions representative believes that the applicant may have difficulty completing the curriculum, the admissions representative may, at his or her discretion, and for the benefit of the applicant, request that the applicant not be admitted unless he/she passes the Ability to Benefit test, though the applicant has a high school diploma or G.E.D. An applicant who is required to take the Ability to Benefit test under this provision will not be considered an ATB student for purposes of Title IV Financial Aid.
- Have paid the required application fee.
