Environmental Technical Institute is a nonsectarian, coeducational, private career training school, incorporated under the laws of the State of Illinois and accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools/Colleges of Technology.

The school is approved in Illinois by the Illinois State Board of Education, Private Business and Vocational Schools Unit, and the Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs.
