Chicago HVAC/R School & Training Program

The HVAC/R program at ETI Vocational School provides top level Instruction covering the HVAC/R industry. ETI Vocational School prepares a student with not only the knowledge, but the hands on application of all facets of the heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration industry. Students spend over 60% of their time working in the 13,000 sq. ft. HVAC/R lab.

ETI strives to give the student the necessary knowledge in Duct work, Electricity, Conduit Bending, Furnaces, Boilers, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and all diagnostic knowledge to properly repair and install all residential and light commercial equipment. This program has both day and evening classes for your convenience, and can be completed in as little as 7 months. Graduates will test for their Section 608, EPA Universal Certification 410A and can test for multiple HVAC/R and Automotive certifications. Training content is aligned with The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) HVAC/R Curriculum.

The foundation of the HVAC/R program is the installation lab. Each level uses the install lab to practice what they a student learns in a hands on environment. As each level progresses, the installation lab grows until it is 100% complete. The “Senior Project” (4th level) will involve a student rebuilding all 3 levels of the installation lab to test what they have learned. Throughout a student’s entire program, portions of their training will be dedicated to Career Development. Topics such as resume building, networking, and interview skills will be covered to assist students in finding a career after graduation.
